| Louisa Branscomb |

Louisa Branscomb has been dubbed the "diva of bluegrass songwriting," and a "giant" in acoustic songwriting. Her credits include over 110 recorded songs including cuts by Alison Krauss, John Denver, Dale Ann Bradley, Jim Hurst, and others. Her latest CD, I'll Take Love, garnered four candidates for nomination and two final nominations at World of Bluegrass 2011 Awards, and the title song is now on bluegrass charts. She claims authorship of the bluegrass classic, Steel Rails, a worldwide hit and Grammy cut both by Krauss and a second Grammy cut by John Denver. Last year saw Dale Ann Bradley's cut of her song Don't Turn Your Back also on the charts, a factor in her nomination for SPBGMA 2011 Songwriter of the Year. She has toured and played on banjo, mandolin and guitar for 3 decades. As Co-founder of the Bluegrass Songwriting Committee of IBMA, and Director of Woodsong Farm Songwriter Retreat, Louisa has served as mentor for hundreds of aspiring songwriters. Her particular interest is working experimentally with inspiration and individual songwriter strengths. She will also bring her skills in crafting, pitching and marketing your songs.
